And so I find that the time has come, dear reader, to bid you farewell. This blog has been a refuge and an outlet for me for several years, but it’s time to turn my attentions elsewhere. As with so many changes in my life, the decision was not founded on a single event, but rather a confluence of many factors. In other words, it’s just time. It’s time to return to the fiction of my youth, time to focus on my grad work, time to care for home and family, and fix that persnickety rattle-trap I drive each day. I’m not giving up on writing, not by a long shot. I’d as soon cut off a limb. Rather, I’m reviving stories which need a more patient touch than the rushing internet can provide. Nor am I turning into a Luddite; I’ll still be around on Goodreads and Twitter. For the indefinite future, however, I am signing off. Thus, I leave you with one last Wednesday’s Written Word.
Leaves are falling all around, It’s time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I’m much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it’s time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it’s headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I’ve got one thing I got to do
Ramble On.
